Noah Postin, Business Advisor with the Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development, started raising money to purchase surgical masks for health care employees in the area. Within a week, he was able to raise close to $1,500 and reached his goal of purchasing 2,000 surgical masks. “I wanted to do something to help our healthcare workers in long term care communities. These are the frontline workers caring for some of the most vulnerable members of our community…our senior population. In my career, I’ve made some international connections and was able to secure a shipment of 2,000 surgical masks to distribute to organizations, such as Petersen Health Care, in their fight against COVID-19,” said Postin.

Noah Postin, an Abingdon native, presented the 2,000 surgical masks to Wellness Director, Nikki Harrison at Courtyard Estates of Knoxville. Doug Currier, VP of Operations for Petersen Health Care commented, “We couldn’t be more grateful to Mr. Postin and everyone who donated to this cause. This gift will go a long way to making sure our tenants and staff continue to remain safe during this crisis.”

Petersen Health Care serves close to 700 seniors in Knox County and surrounding areas through Independent Living, Assisted Living, Supportive Living, Assisted Living Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing Facilities.
