According to the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, medication safety issues make older adults 2 times more likely to end up in the Emergency Department, & more than one third of medication-related hospitalizations are due to patients not taking their medicine as prescribed.
At Courtyard Estates, we’ve introduced a medication management program that can help ease these concerns by assisting with medications. Our nurses on staff provide education on the prescribed medications along with the administration of their medications. Our respite stays offer a chance for those struggling to manage their medications. Let us be that step in the right direction towards maintaining independence.
